- FS Diabetes Educator Program (FSDEP) for Paramedical staff and Dieticians
This program has been developed with the objective of creating Diabetes Educators across south India which can help in improving the diabetes awareness in the society . A Diabetes Educator is a health care professional who is specialized and certified to teach people with diabetes how to manage their condition ,educate people on what is diabetes and how to prevent its complications.
FSDEP has been able to establish itself as a premier structured diabetes education program in South India over a period of past 8 years. With help of relentless efforts of various trainers, we have trained >500 paramedical professionals and dieticians till now and in the current year we have added >100 new students . There are 4 centres which will be running FS DEP this year across South India training more than 100 students .
The entire course is for 50 hrs( once in a month for 10 consecutive months)
Students will be assessed on the basis of MCQs, role plays practical assignments and case discussions and presentations .
At the end of the course, each candidate will be awarded a certificate.
